Maths Mystère: climb a math escape pyramid chapter by chapter

Maths Mystère is an Android game built as a math escape pyramid: a temple buried in sand with seven floors, one per level, and 140 rooms, one per chapter, from grade 6 (6ème) to grade 12 (Terminale).

In each room you solve ten riddles. A right answer reveals a letter, and the letters spell the word that opens the door. With two lives and no hints, a cleared room means the chapter is understood.

What you will find in the math escape pyramid

  • Seven floors and 140 rooms.
  • Grade 6 to grade 9 topics: fractions, relative numbers, proportionality, Pythagoras, Thales, algebraic expressions, equations, volumes and statistics.
  • Grade 10 to grade 12 topics: vectors, quadratics, derivatives, sequences, scalar product, conditional probability, logarithms, complex numbers, integrals and differential equations.
  • A story, hero, setting, music and sound effects for each room.
  • A detailed correction after each right answer.
  • An explorer notebook with rooms opened, a global score, saved treasures, a quick return to the last room and a search by chapter name.
  • English and French, no advertising.

Who this game suits

A teacher can offer a room at the end of a sequence, a parent can check in ten minutes that a chapter is secure, and a student can test themselves the evening before an evaluation.

The listing advises keeping paper and a pencil nearby. That is good advice, because the game is meant to measure understanding rather than speed.

Why science students should try it

Trigonometry, vectors, derivatives and logarithms all feed physics and chemistry courses. Clearing the matching room before opening a lesson from our physics and chemistry courses tells you whether the mathematics is ready.

If a room defeats you, the corrections point to the step to revisit. Then you can return to the AP Chemistry quizzes with fewer surprises.

An explorer’s notebook

The game keeps a notebook of your journey. It shows the rooms opened floor by floor, together with a global score. A jewel in each room lets you save it as a treasure and find it again later.

A button returns you straight to the last room visited, and a search tool finds a room by chapter name. A notification tells you when new rooms are added.

These small features matter in real revision. A student who has twenty minutes before a test can search the chapter, enter the room and know within minutes whether the topic is secure.

Tips for escaping safely

  • Read each riddle twice before answering; a hasty tap costs one of two lives.
  • Do the calculation on paper and keep the letters in a list.
  • Search a room by chapter name when you need a specific topic.
  • Save a difficult room as a treasure and come back to it later.

Frequently asked questions

What is Maths Mystère?

Maths Mystère is an Android escape game set in a pyramid. Seven floors hold 140 rooms, each linked to a math chapter. Ten riddles give letters that form a secret word and open the door.

How many lives do I have?

You have two lives per room and no hints. Because of this the game works as a real end-of-chapter check, and a correction appears after each right answer so you can verify your reasoning.

Which levels are covered?

The game runs from grade 6 (6ème) to grade 12 (Terminale). Lower floors include fractions and Pythagoras; upper floors include derivatives, logarithms, complex numbers, integrals and differential equations.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Opened rooms, global score and saved treasures are stored on your Google account, so they follow you across devices. The interface is available in English and French, with no advertising.
